Mosquito Control

The City of Hallandale Beach is reaching out to inform residents about the precautions the City is taking for mosquito control.

Mosquito Spraying

The Mosquito Control Section will continue mosquito abatement efforts by spraying larvicide in areas of Hallandale Beach Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023 weather permitting, between 11 PM and 6 AM to reduce the mosquito larvae population of the Aedes aegypti, a known disease-carrying mosquito, an aggressive biter. Residents and business owners are encouraged to reduce potential mosquito breeding habitats by regularly surveying their property to remove any standing water, such as that found in buckets, tires, planters, birdbaths, and fountains. By reducing the number of mosquito breeding habitats, residents will reduce the number of adult mosquitoes that could transmit diseases.

Residents/Businesses experiencing mosquito problems can request service by calling 311, (954) 765-4062, or completing the online Mosquito Service Request Form.

In Hallandale Beach, the spray boundaries are:

  •  Pembroke Road to the north
  •  SW 11th Street to the south
  •  Dixie Highway to the east
  •  SW 8th Ave to the west
