Budget Program and Monitoring

The Budget Program and Monitoring Department  plans, prepares and monitors the City’s annual operating and 5 year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budgets; provides financial and budgetary information for the City Manager and all city departments; is responsible for policy implementation relating to budgetary practices and control. The City of Hallandale Beach has received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Award for 28 years.

The Budget Process  

The City of Hallandale Beach Fiscal Year begins on October 1. Each year, the City Manager compiles the operating and capital budgets for review by the City Commission and residents before final adoption in September.

Open Finance Transparency Portal  

Open Finance is part of our commitment to improving transparency by providing a guided view through complex financial information. This site provides a transparent look at the types of revenue we collect and how we allocate those public funds. The charts, graphs, and tables included are all highly interactive and we invite you to explore. The site is updated at the beginning of every week and the amounts for the current fiscal year are as of the previous week ending. The amounts reported for the prior three fiscal years are for the entire fiscal year.
