The Hallandale Beach Police Department’s Public Information Officers (PIOs) are responsible for preparing written news releases that are of public interest. They also meet with media personnel at the scene of incidents, respond to media and public inquiries and act as the liaison between HBPD and the local, state and national media at crime scenes and other events that generate media interest.

HBPD PIOs endeavor to be responsive and professional, acting in compliance with the Florida Public Records law and in the best interest of the agency, the news media, and the people of the city of Hallandale Beach. Routine media inquiries and records requests are handled as expeditiously as possible during normal business hours, Monday thru Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
